It'll be interesting to see what my class rises to once I've completed my degree and I have a full time job, but for now I'm almost the lowest of the low :P

Emergent service workers

This class group is financially insecure, scoring low for savings and house value, but high for social and cultural factors. According to the Great British Class Survey results, lots of people in this group:

  • Are young
  • Enjoy a cultured social life
  • Rent their home - almost 90%

Yeah me and our lass as well. Be very suprised if we get on the housing ladder in the next ten years, we might be able to,buy her council house with a bit of luck

Well that doesn't add up too well. The little synopsis at the end that says what sort of person you are was completely off and didn't describe me at all.

I tried something out and put in all my details the same but just earning a little more each between me and my girlfriend and amazingly for just a small pay rise each our class group shot up. So here's hoping this time next year I might be a higher class! Fantastic test.

  • Enjoy a diverse range of cultural activities
  • Went to university
  • Are comfortably off, secure and established

Despite being only 18 and living at home.... hmmm

Established middle class. Can't wait to tell the neighbours. See you later peasants.

Love it. Can just imagine you sat on the terrace with a copy of the times and your filter coffee, while your lass warms the merc up

Established Middle Class as well, apparently. I think that's got a lot to do with Hayley owning a property we don't live in though... I definitely don't feel established, even if my current abode is fairly middle class!

Very interesting seeing the difference between answering the questions based on purely personal income and situation or answering based on household facts (which is what they actually ask about)...

One says Elite and one says emergent service workers... What a heap of sh**e.
