Josh from JAF BIKES built her for me.

Has my well proven geo, with a lower BB than what kids use nowadys and enough reach to not be forced to ride a giraffe instead of a stem(will never do that to me or a bike again):

WB. 1080 (400x30)
HA: 72
BB +45
CS: 378
reach: 681

Frame weighs in at 1,68 including the paint

Got her and built her up today; We just came back an hour ago from our first tête·à·tête. She felt home instantly. <3

this and the cranks being not parallel to the ground :$ - but I gave myself 3 mins for shooting only, couldn´t keep my hands of her! thanks :)

That looks pretty!

Whats it weighing in at?

thanks! I haven´t weighed her - I don´t have a scale... but if I get the chance I´ll let you know!

If anyone wonders what the pedals are: klick spokes are DT Revolution; nippels are DT alloy, front-brake is a combo of XTR lever with Louise 04 saddle  , the rest should be pretty much obvious :)

That looks amazing and the geo looks pretty much bang on what i would want, couple of tiny tweaks maybe. would have gone for a built in booster of some sort, as both my marino and my leeson were quite flexy on the rear brakes.

but again. LOOKS AMAZING!

move to coventry so i can ride it

just noticed how much the styling looks like a caisso of old!

I was more referring to the rear tyre being on the wrong way round :P Like I say though, it's relatively minor, and doesn't really detract too much from what's obviously a pretty sweet build (Y)

I fully hated this colour when it was just the frame, but built up with all-black components it looks quite nice!

Just a shame the rear rim's sidewall has to be bright silver :( Smooth rim whilst hoping for good weather and it would be even nicer ;)

Now I get it! but that´s actually kind of on purpose - years ago when the first TryAll tire came out I picked up this theory, why it would be better to run it in that direction and ever since I run them like that, without really knowing why, but I´m sure it is way better that way! :giggle:

I´m really happy with the build too - only thing I would change is maybe a Kaiser again and TNN disc forks as soons as they are available!

thanks! It´s acutally stiff enough to run it without a booster - but I guess not everybody would run it without a booster I guess

haha - riding in the wet is too much fun for that! I had someone anodize me TryAll carnks black, but it kind of went wrong so I´m giving them away for free in my selling thread and am happy with the silver too (the TAs are just my favourites, so I didn´t use another brand´s black ones) :)

Nice bike, but what happened to triton?

puh - ok here we go: a crack appeared; then it got repaired; after five rides the crack showed again; I sent the frame back again after being told I get a new one while I`m on my bike trip in New Zealand, but he has no money for new tubes atm; I sent him €200(just to clear that up: he didn`t ask for it, but I was thankful for getting a new frame and wanted to help out); I didn´t get a frame while I was in NZ; when my trip was nearly over Dmitry told me it will take it´s tme; without specifing; I asked how long; he doesn´t answer my mails since 25th of February, although he posts on facebook and updates his homepage. I have a deep, deep sad about that whole story....

Sad to hear, I hope things will turn out ok in the end.

thanks man! I think it will - still don´t think bad about him; hope I´m not too naive here...

how stiff is the frame compared to alu and Ti frames?

and whats the weight of the paint? as 1.68kg is quite light for a steel frame and without paint it would be even lighter

less stiff than alloy, about the same as ti. for paint weighing better ask at JAF..

So nice! Love the colour.

What makes you want to go for the TNN disc forks out of interest?

thanks! I always loved the stiffness of the Aprebic forks - have always been my favourites... I´ve tried the TNNs on a friends bike and they are just fabulous - very stiff, perfect geo, curved blades, minimalistic dropouts, steel steerer; can´t ask for more - well a disc mount... These Rockmans I´m sporting are just expensive, flexy (the bad alloy flex  ) crap - I´m only running them because of the (perfect for me) geo...
