I live near Brighton and always ride near the sea, it's fine. It's more important in road biking where people have bikes that last 10+ years, but in trials we seem to change bikes every year on average, some more than others. Edit: There are a few white marks along the frame that are barely noticeable and will disappear if you wire wool it again if you're bothered though.
