Duncy H
I'm riding the Scottish six day moto trial in a few weeks. I wouldn't mind taking my dads gopro with me for general filming and whatnot. I'm already going to have my goggles on my helmet so don't really want to mount it on there and don't want to mount it on my bike. So I was thinking of going for a chest mount, does anyone have any experience or opinions with them? Or where to get one? Are they fairly adjustable? I want to capture the landscape as best I can but it may be difficult when I'm sat low down on the trials bike so could do with having quite high up my chest? Any help is appreciated. dezmtber
I used one for xc before it sits high up just inbetween your nipples So long as you get it at the right angle Youl be ok. It's realy easy to get the angle wrong and film the floor

stoozie
Try www.dogcamsport.co.uk it's where I get most of my GoPro bits from.
Tomm
Yeah, definitely make sure you take some test footage first. For a mountain bike it needs to be pointing upwards at about 45-60 degrees from your tummy - way more towards your face than you might imagine. Use the upsidedown video mode and mount the camera upsidedown. There is the odd shop that stocks GoPro stuff. I got my chest mount from Edinburgh Cycles. DrEvil270183
If you in Sheffield, head to Edniburgh Bicycle co-op. They stock the silver and black go-pro3's, silver is fine for most people. There are official stockists and price match online too.

PaRtZ
Sorry to hi-jack this, but does anyone know the cheapest place to get a hero3 black? I know they vary with mounts, but I think Id rather get it mount less (with the wi-fi remote etc.) and buy whichever mount I want. Ill probably only want the curved surface + mount... AdamR28
They only come without the specific mounts now, all have the stick on mounts though. Cheapest place is probably eBay, but you might struggle with updating the firmware (each camera has a serial which you need to input to get the updates) if it's not from a legit source. If you find good UK, fully legit source I'd be happy to match any price dude.
Duncy H
I got myself a chest mount today. Had to drive to Barnsley to get it though. Will do some test footage on Wednesday to see how it looks but it seems to sit reasonably high up.
