CurtisRider
Its brazed, just like Leesons were and its a pretty tough joint. Brazed joints have more give than mig/tig welded ones, making them less likely to crack Apart from looking cool, I freaking hated my Curtis T1 though, such a nasty bike to ride! Forks snapped within 2 weeks and Gary Curtis was a total mong about it

craigjames
If you're only into trials then not knowing Curtis is fair enough, but if you ride mtb the Gary Curtis should be a fairly recognisable name.
narrowbars
Had a couple of Curtis frames a few years back, lovely frames but always a bit heavy Memories

It depends how long you've only been into trials for though. I used to dream of the day I could afford a T1!
craigjames
Haha yeah that's fair enough Sam, guess were just old gits!
Jo Prattley
I think a pivotal seat and seat post would make that look much cleaner Still smooth as tits though
LEON
Eclat complex seats look waaaaay better than pivotals. That tensioner situation is pretty painful to look at. Nice bike otherwise though.
Beefchops
Thought id write a reply, this is my curtis t1, I bought it in 2004 after snapping all my prevoius frames, orange zero, planet x zebdi to name a few, probably frames not known to most of you now. Back in the day this was the mutts nuts, and in my opinion it still is, dreamed of owning one and one day did. I quit trials in around 06 and this ended up stripped in my mates shed. Few months ago I came across a vid on youtube of martin ashton and I got the trials bug back instantly, found my frame and built it up best I could on a budget, so if the set up doesn't look spot on its because I went with what I could get hold of, had my first ride yesterday and felt 18 again, hadn't lost it either, bike rides awesome if your into a street bike feel, can't wait for next ride.

ben_travis
I think you havent lost it graeme because youve put on about 4 tonnes of muscle since you last rode that bike. I reckon the curtis probably feels light to you boys haha
Beefchops
Hey travis how's it going, ha, only a bit heavier, definatly stronger cos 16t don't cut it, may need a 14t! I'm a bit sloppy but it will come back! Your a street monkey now arnt you? Coming to play bunny hops?
ben_travis
I certainly am a wee street wannabe now Gee. I couldnt keep up with all these up and comers so i threw the toys out the pram and went street . I am actually hoping to get down to hull at somepoint for a ride, so hopefully you boys will be around for a beast about.
