shercofray
Hi, I was just wondering whether anyone has any experience in taking a bike in a padded bag (below) and checking it onto a flight as a normal piece of luggage? As it will obviously be within the 22kg limit. Or would it have to be checked in as sports equipment? Which option do you use as jet2 only have either a golf bag or ski's? Thanks in advance for any help. http://www.evanscycles.com/products/avenir/padded-bike-bag-ec022270?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=froogle&utm_content=mkwid__pcrid_17321847296_kword__match__plid_ Edited April 10, 2013 by shercofray
JT!
It varies from airline to airline, they took my bike in a bikebox and didn't charge me even though it should have been 50 pounds. I had to take it over to a special place, they didn't take it with my suitcase.
N.Wood
I shoved all my clothes in my bike box and just had that as my check in bag. Didn't bat an eyelid, just took it to oversize and jobs a good un.
