LauraPalmer
@harmertrials: how long and frequent were those bars used? Edited April 10, 2013 by LauraPalmer
isitafox
Lol, he messaged me on fb a few weeks back asking if I'd bought a set of carbon bars off here for £20 (no doubt wanting to buy them off me). I said no chance, I wouldn't buy carbon bars 2nd hand for less than £70 as any cheaper and it's obvious (in my opinion) they wouldn't be in the best condition. He disagreed and said he definitely would pay far less if they came up for sale, should have listened to me!
harmertrials
I bought them from new in january. This is my second set from tarty, had no issues with the first. After only a week of very light riding 2 cracks appeared in the lacquer. I kept a close eye on these and they gradually got slightly bigger over time however they didn't appear to be cracks to the carbon itself (as a small chunk of the logo had flaked off and the crack didn't continue underneath). But I told him about the marks as well as sending photos, and gave him my honest opinion as well as stating it was up to him and that I can't guarantee anything. Hoping he can get some more bars sorted, luckily he wasn't hurt. I'll not be going near them again.

bing
Now Andeee is selling his set. Mass carbon bar exodus
dezmtber
I would expect a good quality carbon trials bar to cost me £160-200 for there custom angled bars to cost the same as a mass produced xc or dh bar, seems strange.
