JT!
Getting pissed off and sick of avoiding using / learning photoshop. So I'm diving in and making something I need from scratch. I've got a lot of the basics down pretty much from youtube vids but now I'm a little stuck. I wanted some text textured which I did by typing the text, using the magic wand, moving the selection over to the texture and copy/pasting. Which worked well, but now I need a purple glow around the text that fades into transparent, and have no idea where to start. Any ideas? isitafox
There's a website I use to use that gave tutorials for modifying cars on there but the steps are pretty much the same. I'll try to get a link to see if it's any help! Here, not sure if it'll help but it might http://digimods.co.uk/tutorials/
JT!
"Blending Options" was what I was looking for.
JT!
Another question, is there any way you can save multiple files with an ascending number? Like a 001 in a text box changing to 002 and saving as individual files?

I used to spend hours doing that shit about 10 years ago and upload them to Bebo so my school chums could wank over them.
Greetings
I've been avoiding Photoshop like forever, still using a graphics program I got with a scanner back in 1996 (Ulead iPhoto 4). I'm actually amazed it still works considering it was written for Windows 95. I've had a few attempts at Photoshop but usually failed to even draw a squiggly line in it so into the bin it went... Greetings
What are you usually trying to do with it? Photo editing mostly, cropping etc. But also designing very basic images from scratch.
Revolver
That's what PS is for! You might just need to get familiar with the pen tool.
