Sam Song
I find that I have to set up my HS33 pads very close to the rim in order for me to get the lever position to where I want. I am using mineral oil and I have average sized hands. It is getting quite annoying because I always have a bit of pad rub as I ride. Having said that, I do find that with a fresh bleed, I can move the pads back, but I just don't get why I have to bleed so often (with a mineral oil too!). Just to add, there is no visible signs of leakage either and I know what leaky HS33s look like from past experiences.
Pete.M
What lever and blade do you use? I had this problem with the 2011 lever but not with the '05 lever.
Sam Song
Yup I have an 05 lever. If anyone were going to suggest grinding the lever blade a bit to increase the reach, I already did that. Well I just bled the brake and it feels nice, but I just don't get why the pads gradually close in on the rim even without any signs of leakage. Having said that, bleeding once, twice a year isn't too much I guess, but the whole point of going mineral oil was to not having to f**k with the brake.
