I see why a lot of people hate you on the forum.. I used caps lock because you clearly missed the fact that I said I personally have never hit my discs. How often do you? With dual discs?
I don't but if I had them at Shipley they would have caught more than a few times

i have a front disc on my 24 at the moment, never bent the disc, never had any problems with it. i have also had front discs on my past three bikes, never any problems with them, so thats why I'm thinking dual disc. i just want peoples opinions on what i should choose on!!! i also side hop left foot forward so i will never bend discs! I'm definitely thinking mod!! thanks for the help everyone..

That´s the right way for rear disc on trials bike.

That disk is on the wrong way. They have direction arrows printed on them for a reason, put there by the manufacturer. It's so they don't deform or collapse under the stress of braking

You think hayes had trials in mind when they were etching the arrow there?Ok then.

theres no right way to mount a brake disc in trials other than to do it on the front wheel :wink2:

but yeah it was on the wrong way round.

those "arms" must point forwards to prevent a collapsing brake surface

That's what I said before I got a rear disc brake aswell.

I changed my mind after a week..

rode with my maggie for over 3 years now, before that i had disc and killed 3 adaptors and calipers(cakipers for dez :wink2: )

in 4 weeks or so from backwards forces while training backhops.

never change a running system, and ditch whats twisting your nerves

i´d keep the 24,too,the best thing imo

Dual disc is brilliant.

I rode dual disc for a majority of last summer, and I couldnt fault it. I did some of my best riding running discs, and compared to a magura they were a godsend.
Quiet, held so so well, surprisingly bitey and they just worked. Set them up at the start of summer and didnt touch them once following. Im not the smoothest of riders either.
I sidehop to the left, often miss sidehops etc... and my rear disc rotor was fine, or nothing a quick tweak couldnt sort. No collapsed discs, no ripped mounts etc...

I'd go dual disc again in a heartbeat, but I really cant afford it at the moment :P
