piperfraz
Hi Selling my bike at the moment, and I've realised that when the tyres sell I will have absolutely no idea how to package them up. Can anyone recommend anything? They're also to go in with a set of bars. Cheers for any response!
CalopS
I would wrap the tires around the bars to protect them and save on packaging then just use that thick plastic to wrap it up in to save on weight.
dann2707
Per tyre: Fold in half so it makes a semi circle, then fold again and it should compress into itself. Kind of hard to explain. He is now in his most feral like state, waiting to pounce on any suspecting victim he wishes to so you must wrap tape around him to hold him there. Put in bin liner and wrap in sellotape. trialsiain
What if they are wire bead though
Luke Rainbird
Wire bead tyres can usually be twisted to form a figure of 8 an then folded in half to become a smaller circle that's a little more convenient to wrap. Still worth securing them though to avoid face-death-spring syndrome...
isitafox
Have a look on youtube, there's a sheldon brown vid showing how to wrap tyres even with wire beads
