Ross McArthur
I think I prefer this to the 24 Bar and stem set up looks good. Who cares if you cant bunny hop easily, its probably going to be quite nice on the back wheel?
bing
That looks amazing. I'd have that any day of the week
LEON
Cheers! That Syncros 90 x 17 and a 5mm spacer is off, and a 90 x 25 is on, feels a bit better. Think I'd like higher rise bars though, too used to the 24". It's definitely a neat tidy looking bike, but the 24 is such a machine, all the Saint/gold/pimpery, I love it! Plus the Avid juicy on the Static has to go, after using the Saint it just feels useless.

LEON
Who cares if you cant bunny hop easily Well, that's kinda the whole point of every bike I've ever owned. Edited March 22, 2013 by LEON

LEON
I don't like the white forks but I'm too lazy to spray them. Otherwise everything seems good except the disappointing front brake.
JDâ„¢
I like the white forks, although it'd need white bars to really set it off with the saddle for me. Looks cool though
LEON
Yeah I'm just not sure I like white that much unless everything's white, probably gonna do the forks black & get a black seat. Changed the rotor & ther brake works though! So that can stay for now.

aener
sorry leon, but i think you´ve been waiting for that too(and especially ross i guess): edited that this morning and sent it to marino, he was pleasedThat video is pure, unadulterated propaganda.I find it incredible to think that a non-heat-treated frame could collapse so immediately when it's made of the same material, by the same person as my old frame. When I was riding my Marino, I was fantastically harsh on it. I'll try and remember to get a picture of the downtube/chainstays to show you just HOW harsh. It may have taken three months for it to arrive when it was promised to be here in four weeks maximum (even though I paid double the postage costs for express shipping ((AND the postage label stated that it had been shipped in economy class!))), and he may have gotten the geometry impressively wrong, and the welds may have resembled the floor of an aviary, but I can't deny that it was a STRONG frame. It took a 10.5 foot across, and 2 foot high drop-gap down to 90* on two wheels for it to crack in one place after almost a year of abuse - which I then got welded by none other than the soon-to-be-owner of Jaf Bikse and it was fine for a long time after that, too.I don't know much about materials, but something has CLEARLY been done to that frame to make it collapse like that - unless you're actually trying to tell us that if we got one of Marino's old frames and it DIDN'T do this, we were the lucky ones. I find it hard to believe you'd spread such slander about him, considering how far up his arse you are most the time.If you so desire (and if I remember), I'll make a video of me jumping on the rear triangle of my frame, just to shut you the f**k up.(Sorry for thread-jacking, Leon.)
LEON
Everybody Jaf makes frames, Marino makes frames. The end.
Ali C
Flipp was saying that the old Marino frames were strong too, so if anything it was a 'pro Marino' post rather than trying to say 'Screw Marino, buy JAF'.
LEON
I wasn't really talking to Flipp, just the whole "rivalry" thing in general whenever a Jaf or Marino thread pops up.

I don't think there's any rivalry, just a complete bell end who tries to start arguments and cause tension when there's no need.

Sam Nichols
I dislike this because the wheels are too big. There's no denying it looks nice though Perhaps the guy who seems intent on causing friction within the community could do with a little account suspension to remind him that trolling isn't welcome here.
