crazzybiker
Hey Gents, I got an Echo Urban frame (24 inch ). Using it for street trials obviously. I currently got an Echo urban fork on my bike and was wondering if I would notice a difference if I got a Inspired team fork. Or am I better off staying with the Echo Urban fork ? Fork Dimensions of the Echo Urban Fork - Axle to Crown length: 408mm - Axle Offset: 45mm - Steerer tube length: 220mm Fork Dimensions of the Inspired Team Fork - Axle to Crown length: 410mm - Axle Offset: 30mm - Steerer tube length: 235mm
isitafox
What's the dimensions of the frame?
FamilyBiker
first,it´d obviously shorten your wheelbase by 15mm
trials hoe
a/c is close enough to make no difference to the bb height and head angle, but the shorter offset of the inspired forks will give the same effect as a slightly steeper head angle (and shorten the wb a bit too). What's the dimensions of the frame? Wheelbase: 1035mm Chainstay Length: 385mm BB Rise: 35mm Head Angle: 73 degrees assuming it this one -- http://www.trialprod.com/en/475-echo-urban-24-frame.html

Would you say the bike would be better over all handling wise with the urban ?? or would the inspired be a better choice ??
trials hoe
a fork with a shorter offset will feel 'sharper or more responsive' vs one with more offset, if your going streety then a shorter offset one would probably be the best choice. if you're running a disc up front the 2012 urbans have a 30mm offset (iirc), but the inspired forks will no doubt last longer........... personal choice at the end of the day Edited March 21, 2013 by trials hoe

The stem is staying, finally found a sweet spot with stems.
isitafox
If you go for the Inspired forks all it's gonna do is shorten the wheelbase a bit which (technically) should make it easier for spins though I don't know if the difference would be that noticeable. It will also make all front wheel moves that little bit easier because you are further over the axle so you wont need to lean so far forward
