Ali C
shorts and shin pads are just the worst looking thing, sorry to be all style natzi but it's as bad as wearing lycra in my eyes. However to actually be helpful check out G-Form shin pads, lightest slimmest pads I've used and still offer decent protection
dezmtber
http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDetails.asp?productID=53023&categoryID=1201 661 rhythm you hardly know there on. Do look crap though. But I would rather have my shins in one piece

ghostrider88
Football shin guards are cheaper and some of them even look nicer, for example nike mercurial lite...

Danny00135
A bit like every post I ever see from you? I give up, about 5% of my posts are negative, and they're never insulting, only light banter.. some people obviously can't take anything... Lighten up you miserable git Back on topic, could you go for a smaller size shin guard with a smaller protection area, say a product that was made for a child therefore having smaller reinforcement areas reducing the interference to the rest of you? jigga
Danny, ignore it, you're a regular contributer on the forum and often post in good humour and with decent comments. Keep it up.

dngr2self
I used to wear 661 veggies and they took a lot of abuse as well as being thin enough not to be restricting.
cai
I just wear football shin pads. Currently I've got a set of Addidas pads that only have two straps around the back of the leg so they don't restrict my calves, and have a few vents on the front so they're not hot to wear. Cheapest, least restrictive solution in my opinion
picowatt
I use the lizard skins shin pads. They have removable foam and plastic layer. With the plastic removed the foam and neoprene are pretty thin and work under a pair of pants quite well.
