clerictgm
After setting up TT 70-35 stem instead of onza 100x30 I hated riding! TT stem was setted up with 30mm of stackers, onza with 25(maximum possible amount of stackers). With TT stem on rear wheel bike feels terrible, not only on rear, in common bike feels terrible, also it feels too low (13mm lower and 26mm less reach than with onza). So, many people on TF says that short and high front is awesome. So whats wrong? Do I need more stackers or maybe I just need to get used to short stem? Or maybe 70x35 stem is too short? I understand why high front on street-trials is awesome, but why short front is awesome?
ooo
I think some people run 90 length, I run 70-25 and love it but I dont hop on the back wheel (unless i mess up) I dont think many streety people do, so its all good.
ooo
Also i think having your weight more central feels better on two wheeled move or for bunny hopping stuff and landing it at speed. But just ride what feels good to you...
Mark W
Also i think having your weight more central feels better on two wheeled move or for bunny hopping stuff and landing it at speed. Ching. More neutral body position so it makes pulling up into bunnyhops and spins a lot easier. That said, not everyone likes the same stuff so just run whatever feels good to you. picowatt
You TT stem is 10 mm higher than the 70 mm. Even though it has more angle than the TT. 100 at 30 is higher than 70 at 35 So in reality you shortened and lowered your bars

clerictgm
http://alex.phred.org/stemchart/Default.aspx something to play with it's a pity that this cool thing doesn't account bars
picowatt
Yep that's the calculator I used. Handlebars would be alot more Inputs to calculate. (Over all rise, pull back and upsweep angles. Total width )
Mark W
Plus if you're using the same bars it doesn't really matter anyway as they're a constant.
