bing
I've got an onza pro diamond rear rim on my disk wheel, and an onza pro series on my maggie wheel. The pro diamond is quite wide, whereas the pro series is quite a bit more narrow. I've found that with the narrower rim, the tyre is quite a bit bouncier but more prone to folding over. On the wider pro diamond, it's not quite as bouncy bit feels alot solid, and the tyre looks alot more squared out. My tyre is a try all stiky lite by the way. It's a damn good tyre, just wondering what you mod guys use, rim/tyre wise. I prefer the feel of the narrower rim, but there is a bit of a weight penalty as its double skinned. BradJohnson
Tryall tyres are a bit dull in terms or bounce which is unfortunate, i found that changing the tube helps, run a lightweight tube at a decent pressure so you don't pinch flat all the time, and it will give you a better feel then a thick DH tube on a low pressure. (probably makes no sense to you, but i know what i mean )
bing
I tried a normal tube, pinched within an hour of riding it, so i went back to the thick one. not had a puncture for ages before that, I'm still on the same rear tube that came with the echo team I swapped for the inspired
Blake
Thin tubes make you bounce up things woopwoop bouncebounce.
SamKidney
I had nothing but good from my Try-All Lite tyre. Was bouncy enough without being unstable and annoying with a thick tube on a wide rim. I hate narrow rims. Such a large volume tyre on a narrow rim is bound fold all over the shop unless its at a decent pressure.
