Paint stripping tips

Anyone got any? I'm using old and new nitromors to strip the red paint off a mad phase 1.2. It's proving to be a right b*****d. Won't shift. I did what it said on the tin, put some on, left it 30 mins and put some more on. Not much paint coming off. Might have to resort to acid dip at this rate

Lots of scrapping, then head to Halfords and find their enamel application spray. I think it's some sort of de-greaseing agent, but I was having the same trouble not long ago, sprayed that stuff on and all the paint and nitromorse just fell off. Pretty awesome stuff whatever it is :).

It's a mad phase 1.2, not an Ashton :). Also, would acid dipping affect the bond on the steerer tube? It's steel bonded into ally forks.

I used some nitromors today to good effect. Apply of using a scouring pad gets the paint off quick, and finish it off with some white spirits.

Good clean with fairy liquid and rinse with boiling water from the kettle. And my frame was well ready for a fresh paint job
