dezmtber
Has anyone had any Issues regarding Tyre clearance at comps like matlock I saw loads of people knocking mud of there rear tyres. I have quite close clearance with my current Tyre choice I hear stones hit the yoke on the chain stay sometimes as the tread on my Tyre catches the stones. I am a bit worried the rear wheel may get tight with mud all over it Edited March 3, 2013 by dezmtber
monkeyseemonkeydo
You clear your tyres at comps more for starting a section with extra grip and less weight than anything to do with clearance. Clay is the worst though. I've been at comps in a quarry before where your wheel picks up so much clay that it is actually impossible to pedal. That stuff was so sticky that you could get off your bike and it would remain standing!
