Post a pic of your non trials bike

How are the pikes Matt? I'm still deliberating a set...

They are quite simply....divine. They just work exactly how you'd want and never fail to deliver, to the point they actually make my bike feel slightly unbalanced because the Rockshox setup is so supple and active that it shows the Fox shock up. Granted it is forks vs rear shock but they move so freely but are supportive whereas the Fox shock has a bit of stiction and is noway near as active. The small bump sensitivity of the Pikes is great and yet (with being able to dial them in with tokens) they hold you up nicely and can take big hits.

Yesterday I was riding the DH trails at Innerleithen which are fairly meaty and the Pikes were just unfazed. They encourage you to lay off the front brake which only helps them track and perform better so it's win win.

If you can, you definitely should.

P.S. If you're also deliberating over the new 36..... my opinion is although it may be good, it's over £200 more and you have to undo 5 bolts to take the wheel out, and it's heavier.

I was considering the new 36's indeed. My 32's are nice, but they do flex quite a bit, which is a shame because I love the CTD tech. I've pushed my riding a lot recently and grown a pair but I think the 32's are just too lightweight for my lardarse.

The Pikes have been around long enough for second hand sets yo be kicking around so I might hold out for a good SH set rather than jumping in both feet. Plus I'm fancying a drastic paint job on the Five so it'd be opportune timing..

I miss having a proper bike :(

This was my last real bike -

I really miss it a lot.

I might try and buy another one next month.

Do! Treat yourself. The weathers only getting better and you can't beat a blast down the hills. (Well you can but it's still good fun).

Bikes = freedom for me.

Day off, headphones in, crushing around the countryside going wherever you want on your bike, getting caked in mud and getting all the fresh air.

I miss it.

When I lived in Plymouth I used to go to Holden all the time, I want to go back there again.

Last night I was looking at Niners (used to have a lovely one) and Giant Anthem X's, I don't think I want anything more than 120mm travel.

Let's get hurting :)

'Tis good there. Some really nice flowy trails they've put in.

I thought so, always loved riding there. Something for everyone, three laps of the full run and that's your morning's riding done that will wipe you out for the rest of the day :P

This run was always my fav'

That rear brake hose though...

Horrible isn't it.

I replaced them with XT's, much nicer cable routing.

I never snagged the avids mind you.

Finally got around to sticking these together for Soph and myself. Obviously a few bits missing on the Boardman but I'll get those sorted for her this afternoon. Just picked up a 40t expander sprocket for the Stumpy and have Tom's old Reverb to go on when I FINALLY get round to servicing it :P
