clerictgm
If bolt is unscrewed I can take off crank with my hand. But when it screwed It seems to be OK.
BradJohnson
I'd usually say it's a problem, but my brand new Onza Genesis does the same thing..

Revolver
If they're not wobbling, and the bolt isn't coming undone by itself, it's fine.

Rockman
There are some fine specimen's on Trials-forum. Your one to talk? You obviously haven't seen his topic about how he maintains his bike, by using a hammer and screwdriver to tighten a BB into a frame.. That's Halfords skills. ogre
I resent your halfords comments. Dont tar us all with the same brush. They do employ some numpties but what large organisation doesnt? I offer a wicked standard of maintenance in my store...

aener
Also... Hammer and screw-driver in the BB is very effective if you don't have a BB tool. I know it's how I did mine up for the first four years I was riding.

dave33
Which bb do you have ? Looks like you already tried some bearing it? Is there a spacer on the bb that they bottom up against? You could grind off about 1mm of the end of you bb axle to allow the crank to go on to the bb axle and futer onto the taper ?
aener
I was just trying to say that there's no need for the snobbery. Sure, a proper BB tool would be better, but if you don't have one then a hammer and screwdriver does the job. Whatever happened to the bodge-fix culture? It used to be the only way to be cool!
