craigk47
Just kidding, I read the sticky really. Just bought my first trials bike - an onza zoot. Love the bike, just thought i'd say hello and see if anyone has any tips for a complete beginner?? I've been practising my balance doing small wheelies and endos and can turn 90 degrees on the front wheel but only in one direction :/ I can side hop to the left too but not the right. I am right foot forward naturally. Been reading some of the stuff on trashzen - it's helped me figure out a lot Craig - Manchester
Brettoll
They are a great little starter bike for getting into 24" trials. Good spec, easily upgradeable parts and a geo that when you get better and want something a bit more suitable you don't have to wrestle with re-learning on a totally different feeling bike. Also, welcome to TF!
Laurence--Trials
Wheelies, endos and whatnot are good to get the feel of the bike, try learning to trackstand next then after that rear wheel hopping (i'm assuming you can already bunny hop from what you've written.) To do that put your wheel on something high and keep it there and just hop around (i'll try and get a video) The turning in 90degrees is good, and its normal to only be able to do it in one direction (same with your sidehops) learn to do it 180 degrees by pulling your front brake and turning your handle bars and repeting the 90 degrees, it'll soon come together. (i'll try and find a video for this too) Trashzen is a good place keep looking on there for things you want to learn, also keep updated with the forum videos section it can be great to watch other's technique and for getting motovated to go out and ride.
