CalopS
They said on fb they are testing them at 80 ep's which will give 120 ep's with a 18/12 gear ratio. Hopefully they will make the trials 135mm hub 80 ep's too. Edited February 27, 2013 by CalopS

eskimo
I said in the Hope topic about 2 years ago there was market for them. Nob heads. Still, want very much. But not paying for one unless my other hubs spontaneously combust.
Rich J
If they did one with disk mounts, the cheque is in the post straight away If they are designed with bmx in mind, which they are, disc mounts are pointless. It will go one of two ways in bmx though, flop majorly or take off massively. I have a feeling it'll become a pointless product for Hope. bing
I'd run a hope over a massively overpriced profile any day of the week.
Revolver
What's that on the red one? It looks like a disc mount, but it's part of the cassette. That's a weird way to attach a sprocket.

If the BMX boys have any sense they'll see that it should blow any rival hub out of the water. I use "should" carefully, as nothings been proven, but if the Pro2's anything to go by... Tom Booth
Why 80 ep's? Surely the current 48(?) is more then enough?
FamilyBiker
i think its 72( different ratchet ring) or 108(2 more pawls) i think theyll stick with 48 ep Edited March 2, 2013 by FamilyBiker
dezmtber
The red one has a driver that bolts the cog to it. Maybe the hub shell will be the same as the pro 2 mtb hub so the disc possibility could be on the cards ?

J.KYDD
48 is enough I literally can't ride with 48 EP now, they feel so dim-witted. That might be OK on street, but considering I pretty much only ride natural it's definitley an advantage to have more EP's

I do only ride street but I feel no dfference in having half the ep's...

Luke Rainbird
Don't forget gear ratios, folks. 48ep on the back of a mod (circa 1:1.5 ratio) gives an effective 72ep when comparing it to a freewheel. Aimed at a BMX market, that's even higher as something like a 25:9 ratio would leave you rolling on a 133ep FFW equivalent. More would be nice of course, but considering the target market and how much people have been whinging about this sort of thing...
shercofray
This. Had a go on a mates stock a few weeks back with a Pro2 and I couldn't set up to save my life. That's only because you weren't used to it though.. 48 is plenty..
Muel
48 is more than enough if you pre-load before you stomp around on the pedals.
