Jake.
I've tried gluing them to the bars, aftershave, deodorant and they're still slipping... Really puts me off when riding, any solutions?
CalopS
The normal or thin ones? I just use water on the normal ones.

Sam T
Always used brake cleaner for mine. Make sure your handle bars are clean and free of any oil/grease too
CalopS
Thin ones. Water?? Maybe I should have explained more. I put my grips on with water then let them dry and there solid. I haven't used the thin ones.......

williams
I have the exact same problem with the thin TT foams.. Tried everything, but a good amount of locktite does the job. Let it completely dry though..
Danny00135
Mine do slip too, But some tar and a good amount of pressure holds them on nicely
cai
I always found that putting any lubricant/water/hairspray/paint in between foam grips and the bar to help them slide on results in them slipping. Try sanding/scratching the bars slightly where the grips will sit, this roughens the surface to make it a little grippier for the foam grips. If you can't get them on then dry then use the cable tie method to slide the grips on easily.

I think I might do the alcohol to clean it, then try putting it on with a little bit of wd40 or whatever and see if that works.
narrowbars
Clear spray paint lacquer, spray it inside the grips and slide them on. Allow to dry for a couple of hours, then go riding

I think I might do the alcohol to clean it, then try putting it on with a little bit of GT85 or whatever and see if that works. Used GT85 because it contains PTFE which is silicone which will help it to stick.
