isitafox
Is there a tear in the bead?
N.Wood
Or flat spot in rim?
dezmtber
Probbably a snapped bead or your valve is getting in the way
rosslittledubber
Bead is all fine and rim is fine aswell, its weird, just start to ride away and tyre starts peeling off the rim...
customrider-Rhys
i had this, new tyre new rim, i got an old thick inner tube, cut a section out and rapped it round my rim like a second rim tape, never had a problem since, worked a treat, makes it harder to get the tyre on and off though
rosslittledubber
Yeah i snapped my valve the other day and put a new tube in so disturbed the bead, done two days of riding since and this evening its just been a nightmare!! I might try the tube trick.. Failing that im thinking bead sealer like you use on car alloys when they are corroded.. Its like a glue that will help to hold it on :/
Dan6061
Bead sealer wont work as it is used to fill in the small gaps from corrosion to get a better seal on the tyre. It's not a glue...
rosslittledubber
The old style black stuff dries pretty hard, worked in a few garages and used it on stretched car tyres to help stop them popping off, also on a few motorbike tyres.. Is a long shot with a pushbike tyre but surely will have nothing to lose :/
AkuskaUK
This happened to me, I have a flatspot on my rim. It took a day of pumping it up half way, riding it up and down my garden slowly, then pumping it a bit more. It's been good ever since!
