O2 priority worth it? and does it work through tesco or giff gaff?

Basically I've seen a few people taking advantage of O2 priority moments, and it appeals to me. But is it worth it?

And also, I use Tesco currently and read a few places (albeit older posts) that you can just buy an O2 payg sim card, whack it in another phone, get the code and then enter it in your android priority app and it works as normal. Anyone know if this is still the case?

I have a better a deal with Tesco than I would get with O2 minutes and data wise but these offers appeal.
