My Monty 219 steel ones are 1365g and echo urbans are like 725g. Do they snap? what's your opinion? Thanks alot guys

Danny00135
Don't be upset of your riding doesn't drastically get better through a little weight reduction.. You wont be able to tell the difference if you get them Edit: You wont notice the difference in your riding that is Edited February 20, 2013 by Danny00135
SamKidney
You'll notice the saving.. over 600g alone if his weights are correct. But your riding wont improve instantly.
Callum219
Thanks guys, just my mate has some on his Onza comp and I can Keep it on the back wheel for longer and can gap a bit further. But not the size gaps you lads do. And I was thinking of the new 2013 ones?
shercofray
The newer ones are more snap happy - but you'll be fine, so yeah go for it.
Callum219
I'm only doing green course so probs no chance of snapping.

Beg him to put them on your bike to see what they're like, help you make a decision before parting with monies
SamKidney
Comp frames ride better than the monty you have, in my opinion anyway based on having a ride both.
Callum219
Next year, I'm going to upgrade my bike. I've only had monty's so thought it was the safest option when looking to buy another one. where know I know to look for echo etc!
Danny00135
There's no bike better than another, every bike is specific to it's rider, Look for a geo you like, instead of make you'll find it a lot easier to decide which parts ect. to buy
Callum219
I know it sounds gay but, what's all this geo?
shercofray
Its like the dimensions of the tubes etc on the frame.
clerictgm
Chineese shit(ECHO) snaps like cookies. Actually it's random. You may ride hard for 1-2 years on 2008 urbans and snap 2012 urbans in one week.

My old SL rim took one hell of a beating and was still going super strong when I sold it!! I used to ride an 05 ZOO! Pitbull and anyone who saw me ride it knows it took some serious beatings to the DT... As far as I'm aware it's still solid and working Don't slag off chinese produce if you can't back it up!!! Every trials manufacturer has product's which are bomb proof and some which are like butter!!
bing
I had 09 urbans on my blade, closely followed by old school zoo disk forks, using a saint on a 180mm rotor for a brake. They didn't even budge on me, and I'm probably twice as heavy as you, and a fair bit taller. Get some 09's if you can, pretty much bombproof.
