trialsiain
should you?nah what ? how do i get the piston out of the lever or does it just fall out ?
FamilyBiker
best is to have the lever blade removed, then undo the bleed screw and push the piston out with a spoke or similar through the bleed port. IF it doesnt come out by itself does that make sense? Edited February 20, 2013 by FamilyBiker
trialsiain
ah ok thanks, im not sure if it needs to be done though my problem is that the brake pads keep sticking on when im on back wheel and let brake off it does it, but if im pulling lever when not on bike they move quite snappy
fubarpatsharp
The slave pistons are far more likely to be the cause of problem. Do you run a grind? Over the years I have had many sticky pistons on the slave cylinders sometimes some spray lube like gt85 can fix it for a month or so. But the best fix of all is replacing the slave cylinders completely. Running a grind reduces the lifetime of the o ring seal on the slave cylinders. Some people have success by taking them apart and cleaning them out.

bike_dummie
Clamps could be too tight? It may also need a new bleed as the air may cause this as angle of the bike changes the trapped air moves slightly?
trialsiain
it was my lever piston thing i put my spare one in and lever works great just need to bleed

fubarpatsharp
Not sure they come apart but I have heard of people doing it. The lever play may be caused by air, it is hard to get a good bled.
