Rob Leech
Hi all, so, rather frantically changed frames this weekend (got into the workshop at 8:30 saturday evening, came out the workshop at 9:15 sunday morning with this) and decided to do something that I haven't tried before. Let me know what you think . Nothing too special about the spec, so if anyone want to know, I'll pop it up then . Cheers, Josh.

Rob Leech
Love it Rob. The JAF components go well with the frame too geo? Cheers all, geo is - 1075, 375, +45, 72.5 deg, 670 reach . I didn't have my scales with me at the time, but I'm guessing at around 1.9-2.0 kg weight wise . (A) Yep, Marino has done a few of them, but I think I can confidently say they're not as nicely made as this .
Ali C
like that a lot! Pretty awesome that you built it overnight too
CurtisRider
Looks like a tidier job than my overnight frame building attempt I really like how skinny the tubes are, it almost looks fragile but maybe because its so much longer than the steel frames im used to seeing and thats why the tubes look so skinny

FamilyBiker
Haw, Pete the German. Stop waving your Marino hard-on around, everyones sick of seeing it. shouldnt it be your job as a team rider to agree with the above said`? :wink2: isnt it a marino between your legs when out riding? joking again. i didnt say joshs work isnt nice,it is really. out of interest: why do you use those tube diameters, josh? has to be pretty flexy.or is it intended to be(say like tritons)? Luke Rainbird
Given that this resulted in 1mm of movement and is before any bracing was put in place, it doesn't seem to be an issue
FamilyBiker
i was more pointing at the main triangle
Rob Leech
why do you use those tube diameters, josh? has to be pretty flexy.or is it intended to be(say like tritons)? I'm afraid that's a Jaf Bikes secret . Not flexy at all, most that have been on it say it feels stiffer than their own frame, which has been quite a mixed bunch. I do also prefer the looks, but that's second to the diameter choices .
aener
FamilyBiker - I've ridden a lot of different frames (because I keep breaking them). This Jaf frame I'm riding is by far the stiffest of the lot, and it has the same diameter tubing as other Jafs. Muel
Just out of interest, how much do you charge for a frame Rob? (I don't ride any more, just interested). If I ever were to ride again, I'd consider one of these because I can get it welded for free if it cracks.
