TykeTrial
Hi everyone and a happy new year to you! The new season is almost upon us and it's looking good so far! There were some changes to the club decided at the AGM - nothing major, but please take a moment to make sure you are up to date with how the club and its events are being run. The minutes from the AGM are available here. In 2013 we will be using plenty of new venues and covering a much wider area, which means more events and hopefully more riders! To take part in it all, the first thing you need to do is renew your membership, which for this year covers the period 1st January 2013 to 30th June 2014. You can either download and print the entry form (also attached to this post) and send it with a cheque, or you can complete the form and pay on-line on the Tyke Trial homepage. Next, you need to enter the events. These will always be listed on the Events page of the website. The first two events are ready for entries now, with an option to print (either download from the events page or print the attached forms) and post or enter and pay on-line. Round 1 at Shipley Glen is less than two weeks away so please do get your memberships and entries sent off as soon as possible. Apologies for the short notice, but as we're sure you're all aware, there have been some issues with access to the land, all of which have now been sorted. Finally, please be aware, although we will still accept entries on the day, we do ask that everyone enter and pay in advance as this helps enormously with pre-event admin and organisation. On-the-day and late entries will be accepted, but it will cost you an extra £5.00 in late entry fees! Really looking forward to this year and hope to see you all at Shipley Glen on Sunday 24th February. BradJohnson
I'm new to this sort of thing. Do i need a membership to be competing in the national rounds. Cheers Brad.
Ben Swales
Nope. No memberships or licences needed for the nationals, just pay the entry fee and enter in advance To take part in Tyke Trial events, you do need to be a club member. There is a one-off day membership for people who have never competed before, to give them a chance to try competitions out and see if they like it without having to become a full member. This costs £3 and can be paid with the entry fee to your first event. However, should you decide that you do like it and want to take part in subsequent events, you do then have to join the club as a full member. TykeTrial
The deadline for pre-entries for Sunday's trial at Shipley Glen is tomorrow. Entries and membership applications can still be made online. You do need to be either a day member (if you've never been before and want to try it out) or a full member (everyone else) in order to take part. It's really easy to join and enter online, just head over to the website! www.biketrialuk.co.uk/tyketrial.htm www.biketrialuk.co.uk/events.htm Hope to see you all there!
