greg1040
Show us your set up on what u watch films / game on. I'm quite into my gaming or film watching very rarly watch normal tv. I opted for a plasma tv over LCD/LED just because of the amazing picture quality you get and I always watch in a dark room and not a fan of the overly bright picture led tvs give off. My set up is a Panasonic 65vt50 tv With lg 5.1 home cinema surround could be done with a better sound system but does for the mean time. Would love to have a proper cinema room with projector ect. greg1040
Hdmi is the way to go I put everything through it. I have a monstor hdmi cable had to make the upgrade for 3d got it free with the tv though £70 for a lead is extorniate. How much difference it makes over just a standard hdmi cable I'm not so sure picture quality wise.
FamilyBiker
http://freemusicarchive.org/music/BLEO/# you have to(honestly) put this track(how you like me now pt 2) in any system to check the woofers distortion damping/reaction speed. not everybodies cup of tea musicwise(8bit) but awesome for bass testing Edited February 11, 2013 by FamilyBiker

Not clued up on my tvs, but the higher end ones you should be able to tune pretty well. Mine adjusts to the rooms lighting, and i imagen allot of them do also. Mine is a low end Toshiba but you still get loads of different modes and settings. Still, a pretty sweet ass tv. I'll sort a pic out of mine tomorrow, gamers may just like it Edited February 11, 2013 by eskimo

You're doing it wrong. Plasma is on it's way out, for good reason - LED kicks it's ass. I have a 42" plasma myself, but would much rather have a newer LED. Just adjust it to how you like it, out of the box they're usually set up badly.

I'm gonna go out on this one and say your setup is bass heavy because i still can't find it. There's no way that track hits that low of a frequency, i'm certainly no expert too. could also be the amp doesn't have the low end range too................ thats the boston acoustics one i was thinking of also a techmaster bassgasm (iirc) too also kicks ass That track goes low, that's for sure. I have a 42" plasma myself, but would much rather have a newer LED. Just adjust it to how you like it, out of the box they're usually set up badly. Definitely not go look as most reviews I was looking at the top spec Panasonic vt series plasma vs the top end led es8000 Samsung and plasma won hands down on everything and the picture quality and blacks on its own will put any led tv to shame. Not to mention low input lag for gaming and with the refresh yet so high 3d picture quality practically cross talk free also. Led tvs are pretty too look at but that was as far as it went for me wasn't interested in all the gimmicks that come with them either. If your in a light room watching tv yeh led would be the way to go but anything else plasma wins hands down for picture quality. I'm still toying with the idea of getting set calibrated get a refrence picture quality where nearly everything is as good as it can get for a picture but thx mode is great set up straight out the box. eskimo
Sorted some extra pics today as had a few on the computer already. Thinks more people need to contribute to this thread! Though i know most people surf elsewhere with their tech interests. Toshiba 32xv555d PS2 PS3 YLOD'd PSP 1001 with FF7 on, yeah. MS Wireless 3000 / 4000 (only there for the pic. there's a usb extension used for extra length ) Sony blu-ray which i got with hmv vouchers in the sale, how lucky. Forgot what model. Ain't bad though. Acer stock mini box. I3, 4gig DDR3, Nvidia 315- 512mb. Snappy little box, cba with a big system/ building at the time Beresford Bushmaster Arcam rpac (to the Bose and cable extended under carpet round back of room for phones ) Bose Portable dock 360 80gb Astro Mixamp Beyer dt990 premiums with mic/ spoke mod Sennheiser Momemtum Audio Tech M50 Beyer dt1350 Cowon J3 48gb Walkman A818, think that's about 6 years old! Some awesome games on show! Fork boxes filled with bmx dvds and cds. DVDs i never use anymore so they're in some frame boxes under the bed. Along with older games i don't use. As much as i'd like to upgrade the tv, audio, video camera and pc i think it still stands at an above average setup. I also want some vinyl decks for some mixing which means room i haven't got. Who'd of thought i actually prefer to ride bikes huh? Now post em up you lazy fuqs
Muel
Can I play? Duncy H
Mines nothing special but a decent enough setup. Sound system cost me nothing too. There's a centre speaker behind the telly and the two jamo speakers sit behind me on the wall. If you're wondering what that orange thing is behind the telly it's crash that I painted on the wall and his Mexican friend.
