ashleys sugden
Hi.. on friday night i was out riding and snapped two spokes in my back wheel. One was on the drive side and the other wasnt the drive side, so it was easy to replace. But there is no way i can get a spoke in the drive side as the sprocket is in the way. i tried to get the sprocket of and it just bent my chain whip when it was turned to try and undo the sprocket. The missing drive side spoke has made a major difference to the wheel panning to each side, so it cant really be left like i have done before.with spokes. any suggestions to getting sprockets off in any other way? Thanks
CurtisRider
Vice on a bench. Use some soft wood between the sprocket and vice jaws to protect the teeth and turn the wheel.

Dan6061
I've had a spoke missing on the drive side for ages because of this problem! And because I'm lazy... Never caused a problem though.
dan rider g
you could wrap a chan around the sprocket and put the remaining chain in a vise and turn the wheel i cant explain it well but this can hope it helps http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media/guides/maintenance_freewheel_and_sprocket_removal/m1.html

eskimo
A good bike shop could do it there and then for a fiver probably. If they couldn't then they're either shit or you weren't loyal to them.
