Duncy H
This forum has surprisingly come up with the goods for all sorts of questions. Well the other day I spilt a milk based protein shake on my carpet but was in a rush so only wiped it with a damp cloth (about a third of a pint). However the smell now is incredibly frustrating. Any tips for getting rid if the smell? I've tried all sorts of things and have lifted the carpet up. At the moment I've dried it and put some bicarbonate of soda on it and an leaving it for an hour or two to see if it does the job. It'll take it's time but should gradually become less horrible
AndrewEH1
If all else fails rent one of those carpet cleaners for the weekend and clean all of your carpets!
JT!
Get a really hot pepper and rub in into your carpet. Milk smell will be gone.
Krisboats
Steam cleaner works a treat if you want the smell gone. Steam it and suck up all the water residue with a capet cleaner then allow it to dry. Unfortunately the smell will linger slightly until its fully dryand will come back faintly any time the carpet is wet again.
