Kevinfor
Hello! I just noticed tartybikes got some new TNN forks and I just wanted to see what we think about them compared to the trialtech ones?
BradJohnson
Quote from TNN. 'The forks have been tested by top UCI riders and have been found to out last the current leading fork by up to twice as long.' I'm guessing they are referring to the TrialTech forks as the current leading fork?
Mark W
Possibly, although that's a slightly misleading statement.
LiamWood!
As long as they are better than the newer forks from deng that's all that matter.
ogre
leading in what context? carbons lead in the sense of technology, but leading in the context of popularity/rigidity/strength?

Mark W
I would imagine it's strength in that they're promoting these for riders looking for a stronger fork, not necessarily the lightest/fanciest. They're proven to work well though in fairness - they're essentially very similar to the old, old Koxx forks that were renowned for being nice and tough. Greetings
Personally I wouldn't be worried about getting anything from TNN, they're one of the few companies on the trials market that actually test their products.
Filo
I was lucky enough to be a tester for these forks. I'm still rocking the set of protos, well over a year of testing from me, they are deffently a good thing. I broke the trial tech forks after a short time, I went through 3 sets in 6months, then I got these and haven't looked back
Mark W
Where were your Trialtech forks breaking, out of interest? If was around the 4-bolt mount, were they the older 'normal' welded version or the updated smooth weld version?
craigjames
Mine were the older "normal" welded versions, cracked on bot 4-bolt mounts. I'm guessing the smoother welded versions have alleviated this problem? I think the one thing I didn't like about my Trialtechs was the geo, they just felt a whole lot longer than any other fork I've used. Be interested to see if the prototypes that Andrei Burton is using will make it into production, seem a much nicer length and offset and a bit lighter; whilst still lasting him ages!
Mark W
They seem to have helped improve their life-span from what we've seen. Regarding the geo, they've reduced the offset to 40mm from the pair you would've been using. Still not the new school 0.2mm offset Koxx/RockMan are using, but not as long as they used to be Seen a couple of riders running the proto forks - they do look really good. Super nice shape to them! Seem to be holding up well too which is a bonus.
Rusevelt
No street bashers testing these then?
Mark W
I know of someone who could definitely be called a basher who's testing them.
