Quality of life in UK

Hello there! Topic isn't about KILLING AND MASSACRE, so isitadawgs, you may sit down and relax.

I've been in Finland and Sweden and noticed that it's so awesome. Architecture, cleanliness, people. About people: they look happy, smiles often. Facial expression can tell alot about how they feel. And when I back in Russia.. my f****g god. The contrast was so bright. People faces are angry, unhappy, hopeless.

After being criminal a little and then trying to get good legal job I learned a lot about Russia. All who lives good in here are not fair(stealing property/money from organizations they work in or from government or stealing/

deception from clients or taking bribes if it's possible or just different kinds of criminals) or/and works 12+ hours/day without weekends and vacations. I figured out that If you want to be honest - you'll die in poverty. Alto that average salary in my city is ~180gbp/month.
So. How difficult it is to buy good apartments/house(how many years of saving up or how big is interest on loans) in UK and live good. To live(have some free time to ride and other hobbies and go out with girlfriend/wife), not to exist(work-sleep). And what about people? They are really so friendly as they look?

Stop moaning about Russia.. that question could have been asked without your story trying to get us to feel sorry for you, you've made it clear that you're not a nice person with all your responses/topics on here..

It is hard to find a job, and almost impossible to buy a house at the moment, I'll be living with my parents the majority of my life before I can afford a deposit...

according to the BBC 2.49 million unemployed in the UK... And a lot of these people have no criminal record, and good attitude.

I think you're associating everything that's not Russia as being easy, It's not, It's difficult wherever you go, some places more difficult than others, but never easy...

i can imagine him getting such an angry guy due to the fact he lives there.

nearly all russians i know are pretty sick about their system

i´d rather try to fight my way up,like i did.

15 yrs ago i lived in a tent behind a hill on a communal playground, now i am an approved bicycle technician and have a nice income,a family and a bike.

its what you make out of it!!!

take a look at africa, some people there walk 12 km a day and back for a bucket of water

we´re all f...ing rich compared to that

What? You consider yourself good? And if so, can you explain why I'm bad?

Because there is no system. There is a "maquette" of. Since childhood, I did not take this country seriously. It's more like circus with huge amount of stealing, violence and indifference. Because of infrastructure: roads/buildinngs/sidewalks are shitty(quality). Well, there are alot of reasons not to call this formation a country. Things getting better slowly, but so sloooooow. Russia is still the country of Awesome Possibilities for bad deals.

I'm a complete wanker, but you seem to blame everyone else for the problems you've caused yourself... Don't go off on one, but it's just the impression I get..

By the way, Internet says that avg salary is 26500GBP/year in GB. So why you cant afford your own house? Impossible you said.. With average salary 2160GBP/year (its freakken MORE THAN 10 TIMES SMALLER) and cost of average apartments ~60000GBP(one bedroom apartment 60m2) in Russia you dare to say IMPOSSIBLE?

life(food,rents,...) costs are 10 times higher in uk or germany so i think its comparable to each other.

theres also inflation to take into account

you can not look at isolated currency systems globally, except really really poor countries its all adjusted internally and you could say that living isnt very different in difficulty level.

its shite that your country is been lead by corrupted politics who stuff money in their wallets rather then repair cities sidewalks, true.

english isnt my native language,too.

but do i say f...k all the time?

just to clear what i mentioned above

Really? My friend was in LA(USA) and told that rent of awesome house costs ~120GBP/month. In my city the most dirty and squalid apartments on the outskirts of the city costs 200GBP/month. And apartments like that house in LA costs ~1600gbp/month. And food? I don't think food is cheaper. Also about cars: import cars costs twice as much in Russia because of stupid government policy. The really bad thing about Russia - is that EVERYTHING is costs more when salaries is really low. Clothings in Russia also very expensive(same quality things costs few times more in Russia) in compare to Finland and Sweden.

my place costs 825 euros/month,thats nearly half of my income.and thats without electricity(80.-).

if you pay say 300 for a neat apartment in russia its the same % of your income when its say 650 euro

you can take america out of this topic because its on another planet :giggle:

www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/city_result.jsp?country=Russia&city=Moscow

According to this, £619 a month to live in 1 bedroom apartment outside city centre. Sounds about the same as England?

Consumer Prices in London are 70.22% higher than in Perm Consumer Prices Including Rent in London are 130.44% higher than in Perm Rent Prices in London are 361.99% higher than in Perm Restaurant Prices in London are 52.64% higher than in Perm Groceries Prices in London are 57.86% higher than in Perm

Local Purchasing Power in London is 126.19% higher than in Perm

And compare all that to difference between average salaries = 1226%

Also Perm isn't a capital it's a small city with 1mln population.

living costs are not the same through out the world. the uk is probably one of the most expensive places to live, mainly due to all the costs that our government adds to everything. comparing how cheap things are in russia to the uk by using gdp as a base are so wrong, have you checked how many rubels are to a pound? (1 rubel = 2p) so anything compared to gdp will seem cheap to you. you have a glamorous view of the uk, not sure where you have got it from but its wrong imo (and i live in the uk) its a wildly expensive place to live and if you work for the minimum wage you are classed as being below the poverty line. we're not all millionaires like seem to be suggesting, i wish i could afford to buy a house and the reality of live in the uk is very different from the documentary you must have watched to get the opinion of the uk you have.

f**k me if you wanna move, move. If you can't afford to, then sorry there are lots of things people want but can't afford.

Also pretty pointless trying to compare cost of living, there are way to many factors for it to just be a simple number.

You can't compare stuff to London, the average wage in London is £8000 a year more than my basic wage. If you want to earn decent money you need a skill, if you don't have that then get enrolled in the army. I'm sure you'd be better off there with a guaranteed roof over your head, pay packet at the end of the month and food on the table.

I don't know whatthef**k you are talking about when you say UK IS EXPENSIVE BLAH BLAH BLAH, then why standard of living is so better in UK? Why cities so cool and clean, well-builded buildings, quality of everything is much higher (medicine, conditions on work). You, who says that UK is bad place to live is stupid or what?

Dear lord, put it down before it reproduces. Please! Think of the kids!

You are the one, right?
