hill_393
Hi Chaps, I have a loose non drive side cank arm, and need advice how to fix it. The BB is tight in the shell, the splines are clean with no burring, the crank arm splines are clean again with no burring. I've cleaned the BB Arm, but is still loose. The crank is pressed up solidly against the BB fixed spacer, but its still rocking. Any idea how to resolve? Thanks Darren

CC12345678910
heavy guage paper, double or triple folded carrier bag or a cut up drinks can to pack out the splines i think. Is the bolt bottoming out on the end of the thread before it tightens the crank fully. Check this by putting some permanent marker (really coat it on) or dark paint (black) on the bolt threads. now screw the bolt home and back again (it should have no colour on it). DIY depth guage Is the spacer excessively rounded over or mashed? and does the bolt have the washer on? again the bolt will bottom out without it.
