FamilyBiker
as the pivot points seem to be the same distance i think so. could mr.drummond measure that for us? would be much appreciated. Mr Curve
Great to see another choice of lever body on the market for those who liked the 05 style. The 3 finger lever blade seems interesting as its meeting in the middle compared to other lever blades such as 2 n 4 finger blades. As for performance lets see how it compares. LiamWood!
If a deng blade fits, I'd be quite interested.
Drummond
as the pivot points seem to be the same distance i think so. could mr.drummond measure that for us? would be much appreciated. Just tried to fit a maggie 05 lever blade to the tensile body... All the dimensions match up perfectly so any cnc'd lever that fits an 05 maggie should fit the Tensile too... However the pivot bolt is fatter on the Tensile lever so the pivot hole on the lever blade is also bigger, any after market blades would need either the pivot hole drilled out or a nifty replacement bolt/shim set up... Hope that makes sense...
Jake.
So basically the bolt that holds the lever in place is bigger on the tensile one, and in order to use a different lever you'd have to drill the pivot hole on the lever so it matches the tensile pivot bolt hole? Sounds quite easy to do if someone is really desperate to have a different lever. Edit: are you allowed to show a picture of your setup? Curious to see what it looks like on a bike. FamilyBiker
i´ve nearly given up on them, its half a year since they were mentioned first. Edited May 30, 2013 by FamilyBiker
dngr2self
I know I've been after one since I first saw them.
J.KYDD
From speaking to Seddon, the prototypes they were sent were really good but the first set of production ones which came through after that had issues. This has delayed things pretty badly
Jake.
I waited 3 months for them but gave in and bought some 04s. Shame really.
niconj
Has anyone experienced this? No air inside and a new lever. Nico.
isitafox
What's it bled with?
AdamR28
It does actually have a little air in - the 'free' stroke at the start when you took all the TPA off indicates this.
FamilyBiker
i think the piston isnt moving all the way out after releasing the lever, seeing that vid. i mean, even a lever that has air inside should come out again completely because theres a spring behind it
AdamR28
mean, even a lever that has air inside should come out again completely because theres a spring behind it But if the system isn't full of brake fluid it will be attempting to pull a vacuum, which holds the piston in. J.KYDD
Looks like you've bled it with the TPA already screwed in a bit.
FamilyBiker
i am pretty aware of the fact this can happen, but also havent seen it except for swollen pistons or pistons with dual seal rings. anybody knows if the toccos piston got 2 seal rings?
AdamR28
Yep, the lip seal is much more beefy than standard too.
chris H
Sorry to jump in, grease the piston and that will help, aswel as the fresh bleed getting rid of the air. Adds, will you be putting more pictures up of the tensile? Would love to see all the components.
