krazykid009
I ride 26 for XC, DH, 4X and everything in between, and still as fast as anyone I have met on a 29er... I think you are just being a slave to the companies that market such bikes. Theres a reason 29ers have taken about 11 years to get to the point where they have become a staple part of a manufacturers range. Granted very tall people find them comfier, but unless you're over 6ft 2ish you don't NEED to ride one because they are better!
How Original
Cheers for all the opinions etc... But he won't take £30 for it as it stands, even though he got it free lol, so never mind, I'm not paying a silly price for a pile of bits he got for free. How Original
Link isn't working, plus I don't like 29ers anyway if that's what it was.
dezmtber
Everyone loves 29ers even bike radar did these videos about them.
AndrewEH1
http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2C095A9A010232F1Everyone loves 29ers even bike radar did these videos about them. LOLOLOL Do you really think BikeRadar are truly immune from getting 'paid' from manufacturers to do good reviews. I'm sure someone on here used to work in the industry and found out it was rife throughout the industry.
dezmtber
Did u see how well it kept up with the dh rig
monkeyseemonkeydo
That was just one big sales pitch so Specialized can sell more 29ers. Some very questionable physics and mainly biased opinions with little or no support. Vids were one sided and pointless.
haydon_peter
Those videos contain so much bullshit it's unbelievable. This has really gone off topic now, maybe we should start a specific thread for the never ending wheel size debate? For the record, the 29er kept up with the DH rig because it was being ridden by a completely different rider who took a more direct line, after watching those videos I have even less respect for MBUK than I already did, at least Dirt did back to back timed runs of 26vs29 and wrote a fairly balanced article. monkeyseemonkeydo
Dirt did back to back timed runs of 26vs29 and wrote a fairly balanced article. I assumed that's what they'd do but no, they did something completely irrelevant. Do dirt have those articles online? Would be interesting to see (and yes I will now go and google it myself!). haydon_peter
The main article was in the magazine and I can't find it but they put some bonus stuff on their website. http://dirt.mpora.com/news/dirt-magazine-26v29-bonus-feature.html Very recent write up comparing all the wheel sizes back to back on pinkbike. http://www.pinkbike.com/news/26-vs-275-vs-29-Wheels.html Both articles are a million times better than that MBUK rubbish. craigjames
Evidently spouted so much sales and marketing bullshit that he now actually believes it!
