Blake
It's done without the use of snail cams, I'm not sure how euan's done it but he said he'll have to show me how to tension it properly. one has to ask the question, why go to all the trouble if you aren't gonna run a rear disk. just wondering like Want a really strong freehub for my zoo, as you're aware the profile hubs aren't the strongest hubs about and I couldn't find a chris king hub. Also the stealth bmx hub's were a little bit above my budget
SamKidney
You could use one cam on the drive side. Will be a squeeze if the hubs 116mm spaced as against 110mm, but thats all you should need.
bike_dummie
Not sure about clearance on the zoo frames but you could run cams on the out side outside as the bolts are the part in the dropout.
cai
Why not trim the non-drive side end cap down by 3mm, then run a snail cam on the drive side. It's would centralise the hub flanges a little so you don't have to dish the wheel over quite so much, and would enable the use of a proper tensioner..
SamKidney
The hub fit in a t-pro frame perfectly, which is spaced at 110mm I believe. The Pythons are 116mm, so cams should fit no problem anyway.

SamKidney
considering the last pictures i put of the hub are in my zoo frame... Yeees, so cams should fit no? They might if the frame was pulled in slightly when tightened.

CC12345678910
What is the tap size for the cassette lockring? Finding that out has been my stopping point. My personal opinion is that I would have trimmed 1-2mm from the NDS so the DS wasn't so stubby. With 10mm thick Avid/Hope IS to PM adapters (tank), this could be notched out at the frame end and pose no difference in physical feeling. That's my guess anyway. BUT, you have greatly improved on danny's version. Soooo much tidier and using a bit more logical thinking.

CC12345678910
this may explain the external lockring on Danny's old one I always assumed it was because the hub was wanted 'er, like, um, now?' Was is the thread ID and pitch then? I saw an ad in me dad's classicbike this month that says they do specialist taps and can source pretty much anything. Get the size please and I'll chase it up. Cheers

Cheers Shimano one is 30.5 by 1 mm Tapping size would be 29.5 if you can find a tap If not it would need to be screw cut on a late. Pm me if you need it done we can work some thing out Edited February 6, 2013 by dave33
