stripping a tr lever down?

right, so i have tr levers and im looking to get the master cylinder bit out. when the levers are loose on the bars the silver (bit in the pic) can rotate freely, but i can't see how it comes out. it can't be fixed in if its able to rotate like it can when the levers aren't clamped up tight on the bars.

anyone know how it all comes apart?

silver bit in the pic below so you all know what i'm on about.

pics works for me, tried it in a different browser and its still there.

with out the lever blade in it will push out a few mm, but not all the way. could the body be a bit crimped on to the cylinder maybe? it moves a bit and stops like its got a ridge in it or something. or should i pry the body open a bit and give it a harder push?

i'm not a fan of forcing things, so i thought id ask. but its the way i thought it would come out.
