CC12345678910
Pretty sure nothing tarty's sell is 'no good'. hence their rep. The m810's are the older model year and the m820's are the bang up to date ones. Edited January 21, 2013 by CC12345678910
bing
I thought the m810 lever was a lot more of a solid design personally, the new one looks too big and bulky
Laurence--Trials
i'd go with the opposite of what bing said, they look really slim and without a doubt they're lighter they're the old XT/XTR levers put on the saint caliper. The m810 is more solid though. I know the new ones have more power due to a master lever piston.
m.stone
Sorry to jump on this post but I came across these on ebay... http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=310506245440 Just wondering if they are any good because I'm just after a front cheap one. CC12345678910
Believe these are fitted to my mates' uncles' old school orange patriot (2000 global racing special, worth a google). In which case the front one is fitted with a 180 and will stop a approx 13 to 14 kg bike and 12ish stone rider (me, sat down pedalling too) to a dead, nearly over the bars kinda stop from full speed in 20 feet or less. Me thinks you would be fine, if only for temporary brake.

You'd be better off with the new style shimano deore with the servo wave lever, its these ones http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=67246 I had a rear one, just I got offered saints for silly cheap money and was too good a deal to turn down. But these are very powerful, my mate runs them on his ghost full sus mtb, and that's twice the weight of a trials bike, and they stop him dead
m.stone
Thanks mate just don't like buying things that ain't really made trials specific, unless someone has said they are of good quality :+)
