ghostrider88
It's almost at that point, and I'm sure it'd be better for your wrists that way too. Yeah,it would be easier on the joints, not too sure about riding though Laurence, give it a try and don´t forget to film it for Dave
Matthew62
'Ere it is - don't say I don't do nothing for you. Attached as a 10 page pdf for downloading or for the lazy, a series of individual jpegs. I haven't included all the photo pages as i'd be here all night, but all the wording is here. I'm sure the lycra brigade will all have a cry at his words but just remember he's been doing it a lot longer than you and is good on every bike so there's reasoning behind his thoughts. With the exception of some slightly miserable comments aimed at the newer generation of street riders I think what he has to say is perfectly valid. Time to go surfing! dave33
Forget about who does what and what it looks like. Just get an Allen key and try a couple of different positions and decide what you like best. At the end of the day it's a compromise.

manuel
So, is it that the new gash position is about because A. There are no stems long enough with the right rise B. they feel nicer in shape when on the back wheel on modern space hoppers. ?
ghostrider88
So, is it that the new gash position is about because A. There are no stems long enough with the right rise B. they feel nicer in shape when on the back wheel on modern space hoppers. ? Initially it was about A i believe as there wasn´t any stems with 150x25 geo(well, besides cheap and snap happy monty stem), so to correct the lack of reach and to lower the front end they did that and eventually loved the feel of it. That´s how I see it. Edited January 18, 2013 by ghostrider88
ChrisTrials2012
Your arms spread out more, so it feels as if you have more leverage and control, where as when its rolled back its like you're arms are tucked in to your sides. ChrisTrials2012
It doesn't affect you, why care? I certainly don't. I don't feel the need to tell you I think you look bad when you ride, because you don't, but neither does Carthy. All this argument is about is how people like to ride. I like to do backwheel moves, you like to spin, and manual. But it's like what we do is somehow an affront to you, and vice versa. It's really annoying. Ali C
It's really annoying. so is watching people think they need to ride the same bike setup that only seems to work for one, maybe two people and then have it ruin their style and make them worse only for them to ignore advice that's been put out there to help them. Plus, I've never said Carthy looks bad, he's a rare one who seems to be able to use it and still not look like he's constantly trying to tense his pectorals all the time. BUT, I have 4 words I use for myself and others which might not always be popular, but always seems to be true in the end....You'll get over it. Revolver
You don't perv on them, no-one's forcing you, but unfortunately you do sometimes clap eyes on them before you realise what you're looking at, before you can look away. aener
There is the rare ocassion where I see a fatty and think id bang you if you where 10 stone lighter. But they do say fatty are he most fun!I'm not here to get involved in this thread - I'm purely here to give you a hard time. Please start typing more accurately. Be it grammar, sentence structure, spelling... whatever. Your posts are a f**king nightmare to read, and it gets even worse once the reader has decrypted/guessed what you've actually tried to communicate. For example, you seemingly can't even properly spell the name of the company you're so adamant to promote.

Now you're just trying to promote something that doesn't exist.
Danny00135
. I think you should change the cat in your display pic to this cat since I rarely ever see you say anything positive on this forum anymore...
