Martin Reynolds
That's because it's got a 'heavy' (read: 'Good') back tyre, a 'heavy' (read: 'Good') pair of forks and so on. Like Stan said, it's all tough, durable stuff which makes it feel better to ride because it's not mega flexy. Equally, it's the actual weight rather than adding up weights of standard components, weighing it on a set of bathroom scales, etc. so comparing it to other weights on here isn't necessarily fair in a sense. I understand all that, I've got a similar spec bike with rain king, trialtechs, ect and measured it with luggage scales to be 9.5kg, but ive got a dual wall rear rim, heat sink booster, heavier cranks, bars, heavier rear hub, ect. Just thought it'd be lighter considering the spec of everything else on it.
J.KYDD
Some Ozonys frame I wasn't willing to sacrifice grip of the tyres, strength of the forks or the quietness of a front disc. That's fair enough. I was still running grippy tyres (Try All) but was on lighter Rockman forks (which did snap) and I always run dual Maggies
Peter_PR
Very nice look bike, and I'm sure that it ride as pretty that like seems. What is your opinion on that Hs33 brake lever body? I'm looking for solve my problem with the breakings and it seems the solution. It's known where or who makes it?
315r
IMO best set up ever. Very similar to my bike although my frame is a Ozonys Cannibal V4 2012. And I'm not surprised about the weigh, mine is similar without Ti bolts and pieces and no carbon parts, and booster. Super reliable set up... Ali C
I had a go on it yesterday, it feels very nice, very dialled. My stubby fingers did struggle with Stan's lever positioning, and the bike felt massive after riding 24" for a while, but it felt super stiff and junk. Mark W
What is your opinion on that Hs33 brake lever body? I'm looking for solve my problem with the breakings and it seems the solution. It's known where or who makes it? They seem to work welll. Stan's had his on for a little while now with no issues It's made by a CNCing company based in China.
