CalopS
I don't think it's right as soon as someone posts an ad up that people come in to say it's not worth that. Even if it's true the seller has a right to ask what he wants for it. Some people are happy to wait to get what they want. I think you should only be allowed to pm the seller to advise him on his pricing. or report the seller if you think the price is grossly disproportionate and he is just trying to rip someone off.
isitafox
I've mentioned this before, people shouldn't be posting in a for sale or wanted ad unless it is a legitimate enquiry
AndrewEH1
I completely agree...there are so many first posts on threads saying "You'll never get £XXXX for that, more like £XXX" ...Plus I want to sell a complete Fourplay and everyone seems to be pushing the price down. ChrisTrials2012
Well when someone asks for 1200 for a used stock spec Echo SL, and then give cheek when getting advice, subsequently if they end up having to look for 650, I don't think it was unwarranted advice. I'm sure the poster will realise that if no one wants it for £1,200 then after a few days/weeks they'll reduce the price. Just like what happens in the real world. You wouldn't go into a used car dealership that you were randomly walking past, find the manager and then tell them that the '53 plate Punto he is selling is no way near worth £4,500...
Matthew62
£4,500 for a 53 plate Punto. No chance, more like £1,500-£1,700 absolute tops. Buyers market mate.

The difference is this is a private listing with a comment section, on the internet. I tell him that 1200 is too much and offer a price range where he may actually sell it. isitafox
If you're interested in buying and make an offer saying this is how much you would like to pay then fair enough but if you're just spamming the thread then don't bother, it's not your problem whether the seller sells the item or not. CalopS
As soon as you say the price you think it should be even if your wrong people aren't going to pay any more than that.
