Blake
Youtube link won't embed. Has the software done a poo?
narrowbars
Works fine for me, I've added it on your topic in my reply
Pashley26
It hasn't worked for me for a couple of weeks, I posted in the software updated thread and got no reply.
tomturd
Can you try without the &feature=youtu.be bit at the end? (still an issue, but as least we can narrow it down a bit)
monkeyseemonkeydo
Both ways work for me. Top one includes the &feature stuff, bottom one is just the youtube code.
Blake
will do tomorrow Edited January 9, 2013 by DrStix
tomturd
when you do a quick reply, try clicking the top left button to switch to either fancy or plain text editor, not sure if it'll make any difference but worth a try. EDIT Ah, just edited your post and i can see the problem: Don't actually post a clickable link to the video - just literally paste the URL to the video in your reply - don't click any buttons. monkeyseemonkeydo
I always click 'Link' and paste the URL in and it works... This is all mighty strange.
Pashley26
Not working for me either. Hasn't been for ages. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXvtnBtBYfA And I am doing it the same way I have for the last 6 years

tomturd
http://screencast.com/t/XGsap9q4 .... did you put those media tags there?
Pashley26
Yeah I did, thats how I have always embedded a youtube video - [ media] copy and paste URL [ / media] Is that not how it is done? Edited January 18, 2013 by Pashley26
tomturd
Nope, just paste the URL (with http:// at the start)

MadManMike
I just posted a link in BOTI and it didn't embed. Tried HTTP and HTTPS and neither work. What the jive?
AndrewEH1
I'm guessing the #! at the end? I think that worked, but I am at work so cannot tell... Edited January 30, 2013 by AndrewEH1
ZeroMatt
Somewhat related, Vimeo embedding has gone teeny tiny again. Can it not be set different in the media tag plugin?
