Kevinfor
Hey guys! So ever since I got my zoo I've had a maxxis hi roller (2.35) on the rear and i like it its a nice tyre. But last night I moved back to the kenda kinetic that the bike came with for no real reason just thought I'd wear that one down a bit and it feels like i can go bigger with the kenda than with the maxxis, as in longer gaps and higher sidehops, which I like. So basicaly what I wanted to ask is there any tyre thats got even better bounce? Not too bothered about price or weight but the frame seems to be quite narrow at the bb yoke thingy so I only have about 4 or 5 mm per side with the kenda tyre so no uber massive tyres please. Oh and are the tubes marked as "downhill" or "freeride" bigger as in volume than the crap I can get at my local sports store? Thanks a lot! Danny00135
downhill tubes are thicker, and I've found tend to be bouncier.. don't really know what to suggest but I use try all stickys, when I moved to them i've used nothing else.. I'm sure someone will back me up on that, they're really grippy.. there could be bouncier tyres out there, but i've never tried them... I bet that makes no sense.. i'm rambling a bit... EDIT: just realised you asked one question I gave you a completely different answer sorry about that... Alex Dark
Stiky lite? Pretty much the lighter and thinner the tyre \tube especially sidewall the bouncier it'll be. Also the larger tyre volume helps
Danny00135
Don't worry try-all sticky, i'll still love you for you!
ogre
Rubber queen super springy if it doesn't have the inserts
SamKidney
Rubber Queen. My Swampthing was pretty bouncy with a light tube in, but feels dead with a DH tube.
A.Baxter
Get a Continental Rubber Queen man they have thin sidewalls which is where the bounce come from, also makes them light, but get a downhill tube in if you run one to reduce risk of punctures. Adam. oh by the way....for the rubber queen you will want the foldable one without the strengthened sidewall bead ! Adam.

ghostrider88
Der kaiser is hardly bouncy tire, but that´s the only "fault" it has.
Kevinfor
Thanks a lot for all your replies guys! Rubber queen seems to be the one to go for but just to clarify, does it matter if its this: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_tyres/continental_rubber_queen/c33p10725.html or http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_tyres/continental_rubber_queen_ust/c33p11550.html ? Thanks a lot! Kevin
Danny00135
The UST has strengthened sidewalls, the normal one should give you more bounce...

ghostrider88
Maxxis and try all sticky are in top three most dead tires aswell heh, grip, stability and pinch protection make up for it and some.
gage-mann
put in a lighter tube so you have to run a harder tyre, you get more spring/bouce when you preload and it'll improve your technique with most things if you allow yourself to get used to it :wink2:
marko
Try-All sticky (lite) has quite bad spingyness and about the highest rolling ressistance, especially on pavement and when pushing it hard to the ground at pedalups. My big favorite now is Schwalbe Wicked Will Gooey Gluey 2.35. It has very good springyness while offering very low rolling ressistance and perfect grip on all kinds of surfaces.
