alanczik
soo the famous all rounder bike is back looks better then the last one but mach skinnier then the old ones it went from horizontal drop outs.. to eccentric bottom bracke and now for 2013 it has some replaceable dropout system... but i dont really understant how it work and why i need it what do you think? http://www.chopmtb.com/2012/11/05/steve-peat-and-josh-bryceland-give-the-2013-santa-cruz-chameleon-a-damn-good-thrashing/ http://www.bikerumor.com/2012/11/02/santa-cruz-introduces-updated-chameleon/
monkeyseemonkeydo
Looks boring and like every other generic hardtail out there. The old Chameleon stood out with low standover, chunky square chainstays etc. whereas that just looks like nowt special.
grant wildman
I've always been a fan of the chameleon and have had 2007 (my personal favorite and best looking in my opinion) and a 2009 frames . I like it but, agree with monkeyseemonkeydo in that its quite generic looking now much like an XTC or similar . Maybe they are taking a new direction with the bike away from the rugged do it all hard tail, to a more XC market? With the new style drop outs I'm assuming you will be able to swap them for horizontal dropouts much like the systems DMR and Kona have run for years . Either way much better than a EBB.
