Another disc brake related topic from me ;)

I'm after some new shimano saint pads and i want to upgrade so to speak. I always thought disc pads were the same compound but at different prices but recently i got told they're all different hardnesses and stuff.

I'm after THE softest shimano saint pads available, wear life doesn't bother me. I've been told i should get superstar pads by one person and told to avoid them by someone else. Thoughts?

Ebc pads are meant to be good with a wide range of compounds including organic (green) and a red compound which I am unsure what it is but it has on off power as I read on dh forums it locks the wheel straight away at the high speeds the roll at! Think Ben at trials addict uses this compound so I have been told.

From memory the saints come bog standard with sintered pads. If you have a clean or brand new rotor (i didnt first time round...NOOOOOB), then no brake from my memory comes straight out of the packet and works like a Shimano Saint

Why you'd even consider changing the pads from the standard spec pads is beyond me. I don't even see how you could improve on the hold this brake has?
