Azarathal
Heya guys, been wanting to shed some weight for a while now and I've decided on new rims, front wheel I'll probably just match the rear. Rear will be running a grind and need some input on which rims grind the best. Neon 538g Bonz 527g V!Z 550g Out of these I assume the Bonz would hold a grind better? I've seen a few people using thje V!Z rim but I haven't seen the Neon in use yet. Anyone have an opinion on them?
ashleys sugden
bonz are supposed to be good, but us 24" riders dont have a lot of choice with rims at the moment. im going for bonz next month when i have new wheels
SamKidney
I like my VIZ rim. Holds a grind nicely for me. Same extrusion as the 26" Rockman/Try-All Hole rims apparently.
customrider-Rhys
them neons are light as f**k and pretty thin, ive got one for my dual disc and i cant say ide want to grind it much!
thinkdougie
Ive got the viz 2013 rims on my 24. Doesnt hold a grind as well as my echo one did, but they are light. I like them now but getting the brake to work was a right ball.
skunky_bifta
I got the Bonz rims, but my grind is probably only 4 or 5 rides old, so still pretty fresh, but either my technique or the rim isnt perfect as my cousts honk rather than chirp - lol. Azarathal
So it's between the v!z or Bonz at the moment. Skunky, are you going to the portsmouth ride on Saturday? I take it you arent using my hopes anymore then?
JanStahl
80 hours of riding Bonz rims with light grind and blue Heatsink pads - after approx 50 hours frenchies in very wet conditions were becoming difficult, but braking force is still brutal in the dry, so I am still waiting to do the second grind. Azarathal
Well I ride about 3-4hours a week, if that think I'm sold on the bonz, I still have to acquire funds so I'll see if there are anymore more reviews
