isitafox
Bought a set of tryall cranks off here that have a small crack in the back and wondered how safe they would be? Has anyone ridden with them like this and if so for how long/type of rider/height/weight?? I've spoken to the buyer who's agreed to give me a full refund when I send them back but if they'll last me I may as well keep them.
monkeyseemonkeydo
Not worth the risk in my opinion. They'll last you right up until they snap and rip your ankle/calf apart when you come down from a drop/bunnyhop or whatever.
isitafox
Yeah good point, they were only £30 with a bash and the seller genuinely didn't know about the crack so were a bit of a bargain which was why I thought I'd ask. The crack is on the left and that's my lead foot so would definitely hurt if they snapped at a bad time. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Jake.
What length cranks are you after? If they're 165mm I have some I can offer you.

Andeee
Even impact damage to them whilst riding can cause them to snap.
