customrider-Rhys
as the title says really, is a shimano saint really better than a hope brake? or is it just the hype that makes people buy them

VAMPIRE V12
yes it felt a lot better than a hope
dezmtber
The lever feel is much better if you want it to feel sharp. The hope is a little softer with more modulation. But the hold is the same they both stop your wheel dead. Both would make anyone on here happy they bought them. Shimano 2year warranty is good they fix any problem without question. So long as the brake is clean and cared for. Hope lifetime warrany on alloy parts. All rubber brass and pistons avalable to service the brake . Imo hope will keep you going for years and years Shimano for 2 then after your on your own
Azarathal
So hope will replace my cracked hope clamp for free? need to sent it for a service anyway as after the cost of parts the service isn't much more and it's effort to do it myself
alex-trials-boy
Have run dual disc on a few of my mods, either dual hopes or dual saints, loved them both but the saints win it for me!! Insane amount of stopping power and i only ran 160 rotors, the hopes were good too dont get me wrong! never had a single problem with them but i'd recomend the saints without even thinking. The bike war insane as was the hold, i ran hope 160 rotors front and rear with organic pads and i could'nt have asked for a nicer brake set-up

customrider-Rhys
im not getting on with my saint for pure trials, anyone wanna swap for a tech trial?
bing
Why not? Surely the whole point of a saint, is on or off braking? That's what you need for pure trials. And a small amount of slowing down
customrider-Rhys
just the lever feel, dont get on with it, had a hope previously and just preferred it

tryallmaster
Yes hope will replace a broken clamp, so long as you go to where you bought them from to get warrant on it From my experience with Hope, they are one of the best companies around that stick to their warranty policy! Lifetime means lifetime
Azarathal
Well it's secondhand but if it comes to Stoozie is only a phone call away so he should be able to help me out Going to be nice having a non-sticky piston, slightly leaky and cracked brake Lever blade is a little bent too, going to assume no warrantee because that's obviously my fault? Sorry for hijacking the thread.
trialsEuan
I run them front and rear, and they are sooooooo much better than the hopes. (in my opinion) The hopes lacked hold and bite, especially on the front. The saints feel amazing as well!
dezmtber
Are the hope brakes we don't like the older models. Imo the new trialzone brakes ate much improved
